He richly deserves this opportunity for his commitment, dedication and application to improving as a runner. His progress over the last 18 months has been really impressive and has included a sub 15 clocking over 5k, amongst several other notable performances – possibly the best of them being an 18:01 clocking last weekend at the notoriously challenging Sutton Park course in the ERRA National Relays.
A combination of natural ability, determination, level headed attitude, quality coaching and supportive parents have helped Sé reach this point in his journey – alongside having a set of high quality training partners.
Moreover, Sé’s development can be seen as testament to the sense of togetherness of the wider endurance group, with everyone playing a part (however small) in his success to date. He becomes the second athlete coached by Mark Bleasdale to be supported by the Elite Talent Pathway.
We very much look forward to watching (and helping) Sé continue to develop as both an athlete and young man.
Well done once again Sé.
Mark Wynne
