After a complete absence of competitive athletics since March it was encouraging to see that Trafford AC have announced they plan to put on some open meetings starting next month.
Open Meetings at Longford Park Announced
The club is delighted to announce it is organising Open meetings at Longford Park from Saturday 1st August.
All meetings will take place in a Covid-secure environment.
Meetings are every Saturday afternoon in August and continue into September should the demand be there.
On the track, meetings will alternate with short sprints/hurdles on the 1st Aug and 800m/longer sprints on the 8th August ( 1500m & 3k will be added should EA Guidelines allow ).
Field events will be spilt evenly across all meetings.
We will accommodate all age groups down to U13 ( min age 11 on 31st August ).
Entries will be in advance but pay on the day.
All races will be run as one per lane for sprints and under normal conditions for distance events ( subject to updated EA guidelines ) or alternate lanes.
Entries will be £6 for your first event and £2 for each extra event.
Meeting start time is 1 pm.
Accurate timetables will be produced once entries have closed.

Entries for the later dates will be opened once each meeting is completed. Any entries received before then will not be acknowledged.
