After stepping up her training to 50K a week, Kirsty Longley saw the benefits when she was a comfortable winner of the women’s race(35.44)
at the Tatton Park 10K, knocking 75 sec. of the women’s course record in the process. An undulating course, not conducive to fast times,
proved no barrier to Kirsty who actually finished 7th overall and felt that she still had plenty left at the end of the race.
This victory will give her confidence going to next weekend’s international in Londonderry. Kirsty has been chosen to represent England in the British & Irish Masters event which takes place on Saturday.
