Two Liverpool Pembroke & Sefton runners attempted this year’s series of races
The Whistle Stop Tour is 3 race in 3 days equating to a distance of 26 miles. The first race was on a Friday evening at Arrow Park, X/C course which was a fun, enjoyable race.
Day 2 – A multi terrain race at Wirral county park, Thurstaton. A long stretch on the beach followed by a trail style hill section with an additional road hill with a mile of the first hill. A challenging course, not for the faint hearted, but enjoyable none the less.
Day 3 – Wirral half marathon.
What a race to end the weekend. A flattish course with some gradual ups and downs along the front, but a nice scenic course. Best to Keep to the pace and run smart and work hard.
Overall a good performance by Victoria Gilbody who finished 3rd lady and Stephen Lennon in 24th overall.
