The prestigious English Schools Cross Country Championships came North to Blackburn`s notoriously tough Witton Park. After some successful years in this competition Liverpool Pembroke Sefton had rather lukewarm time. Inter Daniel Slater`s fantastic run of success came to an end even though his 18th spot would be considered respectable by most standards. His other Merseyside colleagues Joe Deary (242) and Matt Richardson(278) also struggled. Senior Rosie Johnson(Mersey) had a forgettable day as she started brightly in the leading group but then went backwards to 64th.
Junior Ross Harrison(154) performed soundly for Lancashire and there were a trio of other LPS girls at Inter-level, Morag Molyneux (Mersey 226), Anna Hulme(Lancs 232) and a badly spiked Charlotte Mawdsley(Mersey 303). Considering the level of top class performances recorded by the club in the first quarter of 2015 this was a somewhat disappointing day.
