The delayed results of the Mid-Lancs League match, incorporated in the Sefton Park Cross Challenge, are now available. They make interesting reading. The rise of our senior men, second in the Liverpool and District League, is reflected in the broader based Mid Lancs match. Here Ian Roberts(29), Sean Kirkbride(34), Sammy Rashid(39), Stu Haw(48), Aaron Jarvis(52) and Kyle Nicholls(56) ran out fourth team beating some useful clubs. Mark Wynne(57), Jonathan Bride(66), Peter Gaskell(69), Aaron Houseman(98) Chris Pedder(101) and John Halson(122) were 12th and first of the B teams. The message is clear. When LPS gets its act together and turns out numbers we make striking progress. Our senior women also stay on course magnificently. Clare Constable(13), Lauren Wilson(18), Vicki Jones(30) and Kirsty Mackenzie(43) were fourth team even without the services of Kirsty Longley and Lisa Gawthorne. They can yet medal in this league.
There were excellent individual results elsewhere. At U11 Jake Dickinson took a courageous fourth while Gabby Morris looked good in 12th spot. Faye Hannaway(37)and Imogen Fearon(59) supported. At Under 13 Charlotte Graham(25), Fran Price(40) and Natasha Johnson(48) were 8th team. In the same age bracket Joe Houghton(10), Alex Lang(17) and Tom Dickinson(28) were fourth team. Flossie Dickinson(25) and Alice Wong(37) were on their own at U15 but the trio of Ron Harrison(15), Joe Martin(19) and Sam Hurst(34) captured fifth. At U17 Anna Hulme(6) looked her usual quality and Jack Crook(21) and Joe Chadderton(27) completed the day. Mid Lancs Results
