Hale 5 mile Easter Sunday
It was one two for LPS ladies at the Hale 5 mile road race on Easter Sunday as Kirsty Longley won this popular event and teammate Lisa Gawthorne taking second place. In a large field of 541 finishers, Kirsty was 7th overall and first lady in a new pb of 27.51, Lisa chasing hard was 44th overall in 32.07. Both girls are showing good early season form and we look forward to other pbs from both of them.
Rivington Pike Fell Race 31st March
Two LPS athletes took on the challenge of this year’s Rivington Pike Fell race. Veteran, Chris Pedder, finished second O60 and 104th overall, while
Hannah Doyle knocked 10 sec. off last year’s time when finishing 10th and 3rd female in the under 17 event.
