Liverpool Pembroke & Sefton club captain, Kirsty Longley, is the year’s winner of the Tour of Tamseide. The event is a four day running challenge with a different event each day, including, an off-road10K, a fell race, a half marathon and a 7 mile road race. The variety of running routes and terrains is challenge both physically and mentally and was first introduced by legendary runner Ron Hill MBE.
Kirsty’s overall time for the event was 3hrs.37min.14 sec. She was not only the first woman to finish and first over 40 but remarkably finished in 8th place overall out of over 300 entries.
