Lisa Gawthorne doesn’t go anywhere without her running shoes. While on holiday in Vegas recently, she ran a 5K race near Red Rock canyon in Nevada. With temperatures at 87 degrees when the race started at 7.00 am, Lisa described it as ‘running in an oven’. Not only was Lisa the first woman home but she managed to beat all the men as well. I am sure it was ideal warm weather training for her world duathlon race in Canada, later in the summer.
