Kirsty Longley shook off Christmas excesses to race in the Leyland 10K on Boxing Day. The race was in the balance due to icy conditions so Kirsty opted for a modest start as the 300 runners finally took off. Once again she was untroubled by the female opposition winning comfortably in 37.17 and with only 13 male runners able to best her. Lauren Wilson was also in attendance running an encouraging 43.13.
