In the twilight of the Track and Field season there were some good performances at the Liverpool Harriers Open Jumps and Throws meeting. Evelyn Smalley(U15) continues to improve finishing a healthy second overall and beating her personal best twice in the Long Jump. She is now at 4.76m, the longest jump of the season by an LPS female. Dominic O`Hanlon(U17) was third with a respectable 5.67m and Grace Whitfield(U17) had a satisfactory 9.14m in the Triple Jump.
Jade Murphy(U13) continues her remarkable High Jump journey with 1.50m while Owen Southern leapt 1.40m. Ben Harding threw 35.34m in the Javelin. Senior Rachel Hutchinson will have to postpone her 40m target for a little while longer but can`t complain about 38.22m in the Hammer. Vet Mark Line proves you can`t keep a good man down as he threw the Discus 39.24m and Javelin 47.52m.
