Graeme Ballard had mixed fortunes at the IPC World Championships in Lyons. In his T36 category he was up against the formidable Russian, Shvetcov who powered to an easy 100m victory in 11.90. Graeme was a respectable third in 12.48 but must have found it galling to see his world record taken away from him. Shvetcov was similarly dominant in the 200m final with Graeme losing out for a bronze medal here by the narrowest of margins in 25.26. New markers have been set for these events but will return to the Edge Hill University track as determined as ever to stay up with the world`s best.
