Hardly a week goes by without Kirsty Longley producing yet another outstanding performance. Following her great run in an international race in Belfast the week previous where she picked up an England vest and gold team medal, she made a last minute dash to Leeds for their Abbey 10K Road Race. This attracts some of the best in the country and fast times are routine. So it proved as Kirsty finished second in the Over 35 Female race in the super time of 36.03. This takes nearly half a minute off the existing club record. Her sights are now firmly set on Sefton Park for the imminent top quality McCain Cross Country Challenge race series. This is already a memorable season for the Liverpool Pembroke Sefton star.
