Tuesday June 12th was certainly a night for PB’s at Stretford. Jai Vernon-McGuigan’s time of 8:31.68 for the 3K placed him top of the north-west rankings in the U20 category.Not to be outdone, Matt Thompson also went to the top of the NW rankings in the V40 category when he clocked 2:03.7 in the 800 metres. Rob Bland also broke his PB with a 1:56.97 run in the 800 metres and James Grundy’s 4:06.56 was sufficient to gain him an English School’s qualifying time.
