4th place at Gateshead In what was always going to be a difficult fixture our A team still managed to finish 4th on the day. At this level you need to cover all your events and Captain Paul Jamison had spent a difficult week in the lead up to this fixture getting out his best side. Club stalwart Sammy Rashid once again made his way by train from Sheffield and was rewarded with a fine run of 15.29.4 in the 5000, his second best performance beat only by his 15.25 .in the BUSAs at Bedford in May 1999 This leaves us still second overall two league points behind Derby and with a great chance of claiming the division 1 title. 8th June 2003 |
